First you need to complete and return a referral form. You will then be offered an initial consultation meeting which enables you to find out more about us and enables us to assess how we can best meet your needs. Together we’ll decide whether music is likely to be of benefit.
Who can make a referral?
- Anyone can make a referral for themselves or a family member, or in their capacity as a carer.
- GPs, teachers, therapists and other professionals often recommend music as a way of helping someone in need.
How do you make a referral?

- Download the relevant form, complete by hand or type and return to us
- We’ll contact you to arrange a consultation.
- If a decision is made to go ahead, we’ll contact you as soon as a place is available.

What if there is not a centre close to where I live?
Not near one of our centres? Contact the Head Music Therapist / Head of Music Services at your nearest location. If possible, they’ll put you in touch with a Nordoff Robbins music therapist offering a private service in your area.
How much does it cost?
Check with your local centre what their fees are and whether your needs and circumstances mean there are funding options. As a registered charity we can offer some sessions at a reduced rate to those in financial need.
