Chairman 

David Munns:

A longstanding member of the Nordoff Robbins Fundraising Committee, David Munns was Chairman of the Fundraising Committee 2008-2010 and became Chairman of the Board of Governors in 2010 in succession to Derek Green. He is a senior music industry professional who served as Chairman/CEO of EMI Recorded Music N.A. and EMI Worldwide Vice-Chairman from 2002-07.

Treasurer

Michael Miller, BSc, ACA, FRSA:

A Chartered Accountant, Mike has 25 years experience running small to large companies in the music industry. He founded his own Consultancy and now provides strategic, financial and commercial advice to the music industry and beyond. Mike is Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committees, Treasurer of the Charity and the Fundraising Committee. He oversees financial and investment policy on behalf of the Board.

Brian Berg:

Following a thirty year relationship with Universal Music (formerly Polygram) most recently as president of Universal Music Enterprises, Brian now runs his own music, media and theatrical consultancy business as well as being a director and shareholder of film production and merchandising companies. Previously he was managing director of direct marketing pioneer Tellydisc following a senior role at EMI Records preceded by a career in advertising. [last updated 9.01.12]

Jane Bryant:

Bringing a background in arts management and music education, Jane Bryant is currently Chief Executive of national youth arts development agency, Artswork. Previous roles include Project Director in Hampshire for the national Government initiative Find Your Talent, Chief Executive of Coda Music Trust, Head of Development with Arts Council England, South East, and Director of Cumbria Arts in Education. She has also taught music in the Orkney Islands and United Arab Emirates. Jane is an active practising musician and in her spare time, conducts two choirs in Hampshire. [last updated 6.01.12]

Professor Jackie Campbell, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD:

Professor Jackie Campbell is Professor of Neurophysiology at the University of Northampton (part-time), a freelance health research consultant and a chartered statistician. She has worked in the healthcare sector of higher education since 1987. She has wide-ranging research interests and experience but is particularly involved in research in the allied health professions and until recently was the Research Adviser to the Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists. She has been involved in research activities with many allied health professions, including occupational therapy, physiotherapy and the ambulance service. She was the educationalist member of the Arts Therapy Board of the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine and is a lay visitor to its successor body, the Health Professions Council. She was the Chair of the AHP Research Forum from 2006-2009 and is a member of NIHR expert panels and committees, particular those associated with the Clinical Academic Training Programme (CATP) awards for nurses, midwives and AHPs. [last updated 9.01.12]

Perry Crosthwaite:

Perry joined the Board in 2010 as its Investment Advisor. He previously spent over thirty years working as an investment banker in the City of London with Henderson Crosthwaite and Investec Bank. Since retiring in 2004, he has joined the boards of a number of PLCs as a Non-Executive Director, and is a member of the Nordoff Robbins Finance Committee. [last updated 9.01.12]

Derek Green:

An experienced music industry company director, Derek Green was Senior Vice President of A&M Records Inc, Chairman and Founder of China Records and a Director of the British Phonographic Industry. He was Chairman of Nordoff Robbins' Board of Governors from 2007 to 2010 and was previously Co-Chairman of the Fundraising Committee 2000-04. He contributes business and financial acumen to the Board. Derek Green also sits on the Board of the BRIT Trust. [last updated 9.01.12]

Howard Jones:

Howard is the Managing Partner of Sheridans, a leading media, entertainment and leisure law firm. He joined Sheridans as a newly qualified solicitor over 30 years ago. His practice covers both corporate entities and high profile individuals in the media and entertainment industries and the advice he provides ranges from senior executive remuneration packages to corporate/commercial deals in the music industry and related areas.

Mike Lymath:

After more than twenty years’ service, Mike Lymath retired from HMV Group plc in 2008 where he was Group HR & Corporate Services Director, with responsibility for the Legal and Company Secretarial Departments in addition to the Human Resources function. On leaving HMV he was appointed Chairman of the HMV Group Pension Scheme Trustee Board. He is also a Director of Uniq Pension Scheme Trustees Ltd. [last updated 9.01.12]

Brian McLaughlin:

Formerly Chairman of the Nordoff Robbins Fundraising Committee (2004-08), Brian McLaughlin spent his entire career with HMV, becoming Chief Operating Officer of HMV Group plc from 2001 until retirement in 2005. He sits on the Music Industry Trusts' Board, and his contribution to the music industry has been recognized with many honours, including the Music Week’s Strat Award in 1996, the Music Industry Trusts' Award in 2001 and the Silver Clef Chairman's Award in 2002. [last updated 17.01.12]

Philip Mason:

A practising social worker, with an honours degree in psychology and a Masters in Applied Social Sciences, Philip currently manages a Day Service in Poole, Dorset, for people who have high support needs with physical and learning disabilities. A Nordoff Robbins therapist works two full days per week at the Day Centre and there are a wide range of other sessional workers to support the clients. Philip works for the Open University as an Associate Lecturer on the degree course in Health and Social Care. In the past he has worked extensively with a variety of client groups in varied roles. Philip has also owned restaurants and a wine bar and is a keen vegetarian chef.  [last updated 16.03.12]

Jeremy Mills:

A Notary Public and director of Allington Eames Ltd, which primarily provides legal and tax advice to individuals and their businesses, Jeremy previously headed the private client and charity law teams of two regional law firms. Jeremy is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Jeremy has developed an expertise in Charity Law in which he is recognised as a specialist in the Legal Experts Directory and is a member of the Charity Law Association. He has been a Trustee of a number of charities and advises many local and national organisations. [last updated 9.01.12]

Nick Williams:

Nick has worked in education for over 30 years. He is head teacher of the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology. Previously he was head of Thomas Tallis School which he led to become a specialist Arts College and Beacon School. As Principal of The BRIT School in Selhurst he has presided over a very productive period in its brief history when it has achieved significant increase in academic performance and a growth in its reputation as a unique centre for the performing and creative arts. It is now fully engaged in the London education and artistic world, supporting and collaborating with other schools and community groups, particularly in Croydon. Nick is currently helping to set up the new Crescent Primary School on the Selhurst site and a partner school in Birmingham. He is also a Trustee of the Imperial War Museum.
