How we fundraise
Our income is not guaranteed and we need to raise almost £3 million from scratch every year to continue to operate. To do this we need to rely on the goodwill of those who love music and want to give something back by supporting our work.

The first fundraising event we held to raise money for Nordoff Robbins was the Silver Clef Awards back in 1976, the event raised £12,000. By its 30th anniversary the event was raising over £500,000 a year for Nordoff Robbins. Through this event we have honored musicians from Coldplay and the Kaiser Chiefs to the Who and U2 and many more extremely talented and dedicated artists from the world of music.
The generosity of our many supporters, including individuals and corporate partners, has enabled us to develop a wide range of other events which now form the well established Nordoff Robbins fundraising calendar.
The annual Football Extravaganza event started in 1996 and is one of our most loved and well supported events. A host of footballers and managers have been honoured at the event, including Brian Clough, Sir Alex Ferguson, Tony Adams, Teddy Sheringham, Alan Shearer and Eric Cantona.
Other events include the Sandown Park race day, the Six Nations rugby championship dinner, the boxing dinner, the wine evening, the Christmas carol service, the Music Industry Trusts dinner and the Rockwell concert. We are also one of the proud beneficiaries of an annual donation made to us from the BRIT Trust who support our work through funds raised at the Brit Awards.
We rely upon voluntary donations to deliver vital services to very vulnerable people. We work to ensure that as much of the money we receive from our supporters as possible goes directly to helping children and adults who have been isolated by disability, trauma or illness. For every £1 we collect through fundraising, 85p goes towards changing lives through music therapy.
We are always looking for ways to raise money and develop relationships with existing a new supporters. If you would like to find out more about how you could help us transform lives through music please contact the fundraising department on 020 7428 9908 or fundraising@nrfr.co.uk.
Our dedicated Fundraising Team is headed by Jo Carter, the Director of Fundraising, and also includes Audrey Hoare, Emily Brett, Rachel Willmott, Judy Bertfield, Abena Mills and Claire Wray. We are here to support everyone who gives their time, money and effort to helping us achieve our goal to bring the transforming powers of music to all those who need it.
