CEO's message
"Wherever people are struggling with life-limiting circumstances such as disability, illness, trauma or exclusion, music creates new possibilities.
Since 1959 – the year that composer and pianist Dr Paul Nordoff and special education teacher Dr Clive Robbins began their remarkable music therapy work, now practised worldwide – countless individuals of all ages have been helped by the transformative power of Nordoff-Robbins. Our work crosses boundaries of culture, disability, physical and mental ill health and trauma.
The three interweaving core objects of our charity – services, education and research – enable us to provide services of the highest quality in all three areas through the mutual support and enrichment that each gives to the others.
I would like to express sincere gratitude to all our staff, supporters, governors and partners who contribute in so many different ways to making this wonderful work possible. Your hard work and generosity enables us to maintain the highest standards and serve ever more children and adults whose lives can be so immeasurably enriched by music."
