As CEO, Pauline Etkin is responsible for all aspects of the charity. Originally from South Africa, she worked as a teacher and a senior lecturer at a teacher training college before coming to the UK to train as a music therapist on the Nordoff Robbins training programme in London, 1982-83. Pauline has worked as a music therapist with children and adults for 25 years. She became Managing Director of Nordoff Robbins in 1991, and in the organisational review of 2008 she became CEO. She was also Head of Training at Nordoff Robbins from 1993 until 2003 during which time she developed the two-year Master of Music Therapy degree programme. Pauline Etkin is a Partner for the Health Professions Council (HPC) and an Advisory Council Member of the Association of Professional Music Therapists (APMT). Pauline oversees music therapy services, education and research aims and ensures that the Nordoff Robbins philosophy and ethics remain central to the three core Objects of the charity. She is also a Trustee of the International Trust for Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy.

Chairman: Derek Green: An experienced music industry company director, Derek Green is former Managing Director of A&M Records, Head of China Records and Director of the British Phonographic Industry. He was appointed Chairman of the Board of Governors in 2007, and was previously Co-Chairman of the Fundraising Committee 2000-04. He contributes business and financial acumen to the Board and is also Vice-Chair of the Finance Committee. Derek Green also sits on the Board of the BRIT Trust.
Dr Caroline Ardron: Currently a forensic psychiatrist working for North London Forensic Service, Caroline Ardron qualified as a doctor before going on to study flute performance as a postgraduate at the Royal College of Music. She continues to play actively and tries to bring music into her clinical work; she has organised and played in concerts in secure units and has worked with Nordoff Robbins music therapists in clinical settings.
Jane Bryant: Bringing a background in arts management and music education, Jane Bryant is currently Project Director in southern Hampshire for the national Government initiative Find Your Talent. Jane is a former CEO of Coda Music Trust, Head of Development with Arts Council England, South East, and Director of Cumbria Arts in Education. She has also taught music in the Orkney Islands and United Arab Emirates.
Hilary Came, B.Ed (Hons): Hilary Came is a retired headteacher of a London school for children with physical disabilities, and the Director of a regional DrakeMusic project. She represents users of Nordoff Robbins services on the Board and assists with staff appointments.
Professor Jackie Campbell, BSc (Hons), MSc, PhD: Formerly Head of Research and Consultancy at the Centre for Healthcare Education at University of Northampton, Jackie Campbell undertakes private consulting work. She is a significant contributor to the Arts Therapies Board of the Council for Professions Supplement to Medicine (CPSM) and its successor, the Health Professions Council (HPC). She is Chairperson of the Nordoff Robbins Research Governance Committee.
Howard Jones: Howard is the Managing Partner of Sheridans, a leading media, entertainment and leisure law firm. He joined Sheridans as a newly qualified solicitor over 30 years ago. His practice covers both corporate entities and high profile individuals in the media and entertainment industries and the advice he provides ranges from senior executive remuneration packages to corporate/commercial deals in the music industry and related areas.
Mike Lymath, BA (Hons): After more than twenty years service, Mike Lymath retired from HMV Group plc in 2008 where he was Group HR & Corporate Services Director, with responsibility for the Legal and Company Secretarial Departments in addition to the Human Resources function. On leaving HMV he was appointed Chairman of the HMV Group Pension Scheme Trustee Board. In addition he is also a Director of Thorn Pension Trustees Ltd.
Brian McLaughlin: Formerly Chairman of the Nordoff Robbins Fundraising Committee (2004-08), Brian McLaughlin spent his entire career with HMV, becoming Chief Operating Officer of HMV Group plc from 2001 until retirement in 2005. He sits on the Music Industry Trusts' Board, and his contribution to the music industry has been recognized with many honours, including the Music Industry Trusts' Award in 2001 and the Silver Clef Chairman's Award in 2002.
Michael Miller, BSc, ACA, FRSA: A Chartered Accountant, Mike has 25 years experience running small to large companies in the music industry. He founded his own Consultancy and now provides strategic, financial and commercial advice to the music industry and beyond. Mike is Chairman of the Finance and Investment Committees, Treasurer of the Charity and the Fundraising Committee. He oversees financial and investment policy on behalf of the Board.
Jeremy Mills: A Solicitor and Partner at Lester Aldridge LLP Solicitors since September 2008 and Notary Public, Jeremy previously headed the Private client and charity law teams of respected Thames Valley firm BP Collins. Jeremy's focus within the private client team is on tax planning and trusts and he is a member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Jeremy has developed an expertise in Charity Law in which he is recognised as a specialist in the Legal Experts Directory. He is a member of the STEP Charity Special Interest Group and the Charity Law Association. He has been a Trustee of a number of charities and advises many local and national organisations.
David Munns: A longstanding member of the Nordoff Robbins Fundraising Committee, David Munns was appointed Chairman in 2008. He is a senior music industry professional who served as Chairman/CEO of EMI Recorded Music N.A. and EMI Worldwide Vice-Chairman from 2002-07. David facilitates the link between the operational and fundraising facets of the charity.
Dr Clive Robbins, CMT/RMT, DHL, DMM: A co-founder of the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy, Clive Robbins began working with Paul Nordoff and developing the work in 1959. His background was as a special educationalist and anthroposophist. He is Founding Director of the Nordoff-Robbins Center for Music Therapy at New York University. Clive Robbins holds the perspective of Nordoff Robbins core principles on the Board.
