Julie works out of a music studio and office within the Centre for Psychotherapy in Belfast as an integral part of an expanding team of psychiatrists and psychotherapists.
She runs a Music Therapy Assessment Clinic and and ongoing Treatment Clinic. She is also working on an innovative project and research study with at-risk young adults, as part of a community psychiatry service set up by the Centre’s Consultant Psychiatrist, John, Lord Alderdice. The Centre for Psychotherapy team includes staff with special expertise in working with people who have experienced community violence and conflict. The Centre also hosts a psychoanalytic psychotherapy training for which Julie teaches a component on music therapy.
