Annie Lennox, Scottish singer-songwriter, political activist and philanthropist famous for hit singles including 'Sweet Dreams', 'Walking on Broken Glass' and 'Why' has announced her support for music charity Nordoff Robbins, launching the 2011 Christmas appeal.

Launch of the Classic FM Christmas Appeal in aid of Nordoff Robbins

We are delighted to announce that for the second year running, Nordoff Robbins will be benefitting from the Classic FM Christmas Appeal. Launching on air on Sunday 18th December at 5pm, the Appeal will be raising money over the following week, to fund over 4000 Nordoff Robbins music therapy sessions for children.

In memoriam: Clive Robbins 1927-2011

Nordoff Robbins is very sad to announce the death of Clive Robbins - a momentous loss for the worldwide community of Nordoff-Robbins music therapists. Dr Robbins, who passed away on Wednesday 7th December 2011 aged 84, was a co-founder of the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy which he developed with the American musician Paul Nordoff (1909-77). He travelled the globe inspiring thousands with his passion for music as therapy.
