Exclusive screening to mark 40th anniversary of David Bowie’s ‘Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture’
Itsmygeneration.com, Kilimanjaro and music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins will mark the 40th anniversary of Ziggy Stardust’s legendary farewell on 3rd July 1973 with an exclusive screening of Ziggy Stardust & The Spiders From Mars: The Motion Picture, at The Charlotte Street Hotel on 3rd July 2013.
Tickets are on sale now for this exclusive screening in the private 75-seater cinema to celebrate the career of David Bowie’s iconic Ziggy Stardust character. The evening will include an acoustic performance of Ziggy Stardust followed by the full 90 minute film screening in 5.1 stereo surround sound.
A post screening party featuring Ziggy Stardust cocktails and music will be held on Heddon Street where the Ziggy Stardust album cover was shot in 1972 and where a plaque was unveiled in 2012 to mark the 40th anniversary of the album release.

Filmed as a documentary and concert movie by D.A. Pennebaker,Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars: The Motion Picture, features David Bowie and his backing group (The Spiders from Mars) performing their last ever show at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on July 3rd1973. Before the final song ‘Rock 'n' Roll Suicide’, Bowie announced that, “Not only is this the last show of the tour, but it's the last show that we'll ever do”, and so ending his persona as Ziggy Stardust.
