The Jean Eisler Bursary Trust Fund

The Jean Eisler Bursary Trust Fund was established in 2007 to provide annual bursaries for students studying on the Nordoff Robbins Masters two-year degree programme in London. The first bursary student was admitted in September 2008, and there is currently enough money in the fund to support this student through the full two years of the programme. The aim is to increase the fund sufficiently to enable a second student to begin in September 2009, running concurrently with the first. No unsolicited applications to the fund for other purposes are accepted.

Jean Eisler The Bursary Fund was initiated by Jean Eisler, an experienced music therapist who trained with Paul Nordoff and Clive Robbins on their very first UK training programme in 1974, and who has been closely involved with Nordoff Robbins training and practice for over thirty years. The Fund initially began as a family, friends and colleagues’ fund, but now needs to draw in any Nordoff Robbins supporters who would like a special target for their gift. Only the annual income from the Fund can be spent on the Bursary, so there is a current need to significantly increase the capital endowment.

To support a music therapy student is a very valuable gift, enabling countless people to benefit from music therapy over the course of the music therapist’s career.

The Bursary fund is administered by the Charities Aid Foundation, and all contributions, large or small, are gratefully received. Donations may be Gift Aided to retrieve tax.
