All Party Parliamentary Group – Effect of the arts on health debate 20th October 2017 On 11 October, the All Party Parliamentary Group on the Arts, Health and Wellbeing explored the effects of arts on health and wellbeing during a debate in Westminster Hall. MPs included in the discussion the work being done by Nordoff Robbins, covering both our research into the impact of arts on health and wellbeing, and more broadly, the positive role that music therapy can play to directly impact the wellbeing of patients, families and carers, and on the positive social and economic impact of such work in avoiding re-admittance to hospital or reduced absenteeism at school and work.
