Climb Kilimanjaro and change lives

Ever wondered what it takes to climb Kilimanjaro? Kim and Julie share their Kili training diary with us ahead of their trek next month.

I was at a Nordoff Robbins open day where they did a presentation about the work they do and how important charity donations are to keep the therapy centre running. At the time Julie and I were talking about climbing Mount Kilimanjaro as a challenge. After my visit to Nordoff Robbins they sent me an email with some of the fundraising events coming up. When I saw Kilimanjaro on the list it was a no brainer for Julie and I to sign up to take on the challenge and help raise money for Nordoff Robbins.

After helping out at Nordoff Robbins events over the years doing something more active on a fundraising level appealed to me. Kim and I had been discussing doing a challenge. I already do quite a lot of walking so when we became aware that there was a fundraising climb on Kilimanjaro we jumped at the opportunity to sign up.
