GET LOUD with Miel de Botton 24th May 2016 Get Loud As part of our first-ever Get Loud awareness day, our supporter and singer Miel de Botton is hosting an intimate performance at The Arts Club in Mayfair on Wednesday 8 June. Miel de Botton is a singer with a passion. She breathes new life into her beloved French chansons (Jacques Brel, Charles Aznavour et al), and the honesty and romance of their songs also inspire her own material in French and English. On Wednesday 8 June, guests will be treated to a champagne reception, followed by an exclusive performance by Miel and her live band. After the performance, standing dinner and desserts, DJ Marc JB will continue the party into the night. It is set to be a fun and energetic evening which will raise vital funds for Nordoff Robbins. As a qualified clinical psychologist and family therapist, Miel has long been interested in the power of music therapy to change lives. “I spent some time at Nordoff Robbins’ centre in Kentish Town, and was moved by how music therapy can truly instigate change; how sensitive the therapists are to each person’s needs and individuality; and how, with very few words, music can heal and can lead to transformation. When I heard about the Get Loud campaign I contacted The Arts Club who, it turns out, have previously supported Nordoff Robbins and were keen to be involved. I’m thrilled to be performing for Get Loud and look forward to sharing a wonderful evening of music, entertainment and joy.” We are hugely grateful to Miel, the musicians and The Arts Club for their involvement in GET LOUD – it is set to be a very special evening. Tickets are £100 (the equivalent of two music therapy sessions) and all proceeds go to Nordoff Robbins.
