Drums at Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy

Important Announcement about our services during the Coronavirus outbreak

Like many charities and organisations, we have been assessing the impact that the Coronavirus outbreak is having on our music therapy delivery and the people we work with.

In light of the latest Government advice around avoiding social contact and stopping non-essential travel we have taken the decision to temporarily scale back our music therapy services.

The health and wellbeing of those receiving our music therapy, our staff, and students is our number one priority.

As a result we have stopped all our music therapy sessions with immediate effect across the UK. We are also not sending our music therapists into organisations we work in such as hospitals, care homes and schools.

We have also moved our education and training online to protect both our students and tutors. We are working closely with our validator, Goldsmiths University and taking advice from the HCPC (Health Professions Council) to ensure that in this adapted way, we continue to deliver our programme to the very highest of standards.

Nordoff Robbins chief executive Sandra Schembri said:

“These are unprecedented times but our number one priority is the health and wellbeing of those we support. We are monitoring the situation and following all Government advice.”
