16th July 2020 Manchester Area to celebrate 25 years with virtual gig raising funds for Nordoff Robbins and others News Supporters This July is the 25th anniversary of Manchester Arena and to mark the occasion, our friends there have created a show reel of entertainment honouring the acts and performers who have played a role in their 25 year history. The pre-recorded streamed event will “go live” across the arena’s social media channels at 8pm on Friday July 17th allowing everyone the opportunity to celebrate this quarter century milestone from the comfort of their own homes, whilst raising money for partner charities: The Booth Centre, The Christie, Forever Manchester and Nordoff Robbins. James Allen, General Manager of Manchester Arena: “Our 25th anniversary celebrations were set to be very special indeed, however during this period of pause, we have adapted the format to ensure that we can deliver an evening of top quality entertainment to your home, so everyone can enjoy the celebrations without leaving the house.” Sandra Schembri, CEO of Nordoff Robbins: “We’re so grateful to the team at Manchester Arena for supporting Nordoff Robbins music therapy as part of this fundraiser. 25 years is an amazing milestone and over those years Manchester Arena has cemented itself as a cornerstone of the music scene across Manchester and the wider north west. We are looking forward to many more years of collaboration with our friends at the Arena, especially as we continue to develop our own services throughout the region.” Guest appearances by: Alice Cooper Badly Drawn Boy Charlatans Clint Boon Dionne Bromfield Emeli Sande Everything Everything The Hoosiers Kelli-Leigh Kodaline Lionel Richie Pixie Lott The Slow Readers Club More News Annual Legends of Rugby event in aid of Nordoff Robbins to go ahead virtually The long-standing Legends of Rugby event in aid of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Charity, which sees the world of rugby and music come together in a celebration of one of England’s Rugby heroes, was due to take place today, at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, and will now go ahead virtually on Friday 26 February 2021.
