Neil Warnock recognised for ‘Outstanding Contribution to Music’

Nordoff Robbins would like to congratulate Neil Warnock on his acceptance of the Live Music Business Awards Outstanding Contribution to Music award.

Neil is the current Chairman of Nordoff Robbins’ Fundraising Committee and is a member of our Board of Governors. He has made an outstanding and significant contribution to Nordoff Robbins and has been an avid supporter of our work since the charity was formed over 40 years ago. Julie Whelan, Nordoff Robbins’ Chief Executive was delighted to present the award.

The award is selected by a team at LIVE UK magazine and honours those whose efforts over multiple years have made a major contribution to the success of the country’s live music industry, while also quietly committing time and effort in aid of charitable causes.

Accepting the award, Neil received video tributes from several of the artists he has represented during his career, including Dolly Parton, Alice Cooper, David Gilmour, Katherine Jenkins and Status Quo’s Francis Rossi.

Neil is a passionate believer in the power of music, and continues to be an exceptional and dedicated ambassador for the Nordoff Robbins. Throughout his years of support, he has made time to really understand the impact of music therapy so that he can talk knowledgably about our work to those he works hard to engage on our behalf.

Nordoff Robbins relies entirely on funds raised through voluntary donations. The events which Neil supports have raised a huge amount of money for Nordoff Robbins. The raceday which Neil has been involved in since it started has raised over £1.2 million and the O2 Silver Clef Awards have raised over £9million since the first event 42 years ago.

Congratulations and thanks again, Neil!
