Nordoff Robbins Golf Classic 2017 5th May 2017 Nordoff Robbins Take to the Green Yesterday was our annual Golf Classic day – 18 teams took to the green to raise money for music therapy. It was a tough competition with all the teams bringing their A game, as well as healthy doses of grit and determination. But there were also lots of smiles and laughter as they competed for the cup and the glory. After a tough competition, and lots of fighting for the top spot, third place went to Live Nation, there was a strong second place showing from Warner Music, but the winners were Handle Recruitment! A huge thank you to all the teams (and a big well done to the Nordoff Robbins team who came a commendable joint twelfth!). You can see the full leaderboard at the bottom of this post. Thank Yous Firstly a massive thank you to sports presenter and avid golfer Georgie Bingham, who came along to provide a “Beat the Pro” challenge on Hole 3. Also a huge thank you to all of the teams who came along. We had representatives from Warner Music, Live Nation, Sony Music, Universal Music and many, many others. You all brought the wonderful combination of high-spirits and generosity that always make this day such a success. We’d like to offer an extra special thank you to Nick Stewart, the Chairman of the Golf Committee, which organises the Golf Classic each year, who has decided to stand down. Nick has organised the Golf Classic for the past ten years, and his guidance and enthusiasm have helped us to raise awareness for Nordoff Robbins, as well as fundraise huge amounts to support us, and help us grow. We cannot thank him enough.
