Nordoff Robbins sign exclusive partnership with ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield

Nordoff Robbins are thrilled to announce an exclusive charity partnership with ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield, the Grade II listed four-floor venue in the heart of Smithfield Market.

In the first year of the partnership, ‘SMITHS’ has set a contribution target of £50,000 which will be achieved through a variety of fundraising activities and charity evenings, including a dedicated Pop Quiz night in early 2017. Additionally, a 30p donation will be made by ‘SMITHS’ to every Breakfast Number 1 – the best-selling item on the menu – sold in the Ground Floor Café.

‘SMITHS’ will also support a range of Nordoff Robbins events throughout the year including our annual awareness day ‘Get Loud’ in 2017, which sees some of the biggest names in music perform a series of exclusive intimate gigs, and encourages the general public to get involved and raise money through their own activities.

To kick off the relationship, ‘SMITHS’ donated a prize to our recent Legends of Football charity event, which celebrated the achievements and careers of some of the greatest footballers and managers in the game. ‘SMITHS’ auctioned a table of ten headed up by Sir Alex Ferguson and three other famous football managers, with the Legendary Lunch going for £22,000 – a quarter of the total raised during the auction.

Cat Stuijt, Marketing Manager at ‘SMITHS’ of Smithfield, commented: “The charity work carried out by Nordoff Robbins resonates strongly with both the ‘SMITHS’ team and our guests alike. We are thrilled to support their fundraising initiatives over the coming year and look forward to raising money and awareness for this wonderful charity.”

Our CEO Julie Whelan said “We are so proud to be able to say that we will be working in partnership with SMITHS. Their invaluable support not only for some of our most important events but campaigns like Get Loud 2017 makes, and will continue to make all the difference to us.
