30th November 2020 Specsavers Scottish Music Awards Raise Over £50,000 Scottish Stars Including Lewis Capaldi, Biffy Clyro, Amy Macdonald, Dougie Maclean, Texas, Wet Wet Wet and more give their support during live-streamed awards News Fans still have the chance to win exclusive prizes The Specsavers Scottish Music Awards raised over £50,000 during Saturday night’s virtual ceremony. The broadcast saw some of Scotland’s biggest stars come together to celebrate the country’s music scene and hosted performances from Lewis Capaldi, Biffy Clyro, Amy Macdonald, Dougie MacLean, Texas, Wet Wet Wet and many more. Hosted live by Edith Bowman from Glasgow’s SWG3, the online broadcast saw a star-studded line-up join forces to raise funds for Nordoff Robbins, with exclusive footage from Biffy Clyro, a special at-home acoustic performance from Lewis Capaldi, plus, socially distanced performances from Amy Macdonald, Texas, Wet Wet Wet, Dougie Maclean, Luke La Volpe, HYYTS and more. Raising money for Nordoff Robbins music therapy, the event included some incredible silent auction items and prize draws which fans can still enter to win. The auction includes tickets for SSE Hydro shows like Simply Red and Gary Barlow plus a private box for Texas in May 2021. Fans can also enter the Specsavers Scottish Music Award prize draw for only £10 to win a VIP Biffy Clyro experience including meet and greet with the band, VIP tickets to their 2021 Bellahouston Park show plus a signed Fender guitar.
