The Great British Radio Reunion 19th February 2016 Last month saw the Jazz Café Camden host a special one-off event in support of Nordoff Robbins, celebrating the stars and personalities of British radio throughout the years. The Great British Radio Reunion reunited some of the best-loved names in broadcasting and included a celebrity pop quiz, Kid Jensen’s Big Interview with Martin Fry from ABC and our special live music feature “Ghosts of the Playlist” showcasing some of Britain’s biggest but now nearly forgotten radio hits, with performances by Tina Charles, Brother Beyond, Mungo Jerry, Jigsaw, Billie Davis, Clem Curtis of the Foundations, Linda Lewis and many, many more. “Nordoff Robbins is such a deserving charity, we couldn’t think of a better one to raise money for. As a lifetime fan of popular music radio it was absolutely great to get the radio industry together. We all know how important music is to each and every one of us and these were the DJs and presenters who have been responsible for playing the soundtrack to our lives.” – Alex Dyke, organiser & host A huge thank you to the whole Great British Radio Reunion team.
