The West London Music Festival

The West London Music Festival, which took place on 13 July, was a brilliant success – with an eclectic range of artists coming together to celebrate music and raise awareness of Nordoff Robbins and music therapy.

The line-up of inspiring and up-and-coming performers included singer-songwriter and co-festival organiser Purdy, with her signature jazz influenced pop-noir, and the incredible Mica Paris, who joined Stax on stage and brought the room to their feet with her amazing rendition of I Put a Spell on You. Shan Smile, Sam Swallow, and Billy Phillips performed amazing sets, and world beatbox champion Bass6 - also known as Rupert Oldridge of the Beatbox Collective - wowed with his skills and philosophy that “every sound is a good sound”.

We were lucky enough to serve a unique Nordoff Robbins cocktail, based on a cocktail designed by drinks expert Tony Conigliaro for his Untitled Bar, with Beefeater London Dry Gin kindly provided by Pernod-Ricard UK and cocktail mix by Tony Conigliaro's Drink Factory. Our thanks to all of them - and a special thank you to cocktail maker extraordinaire Francisco Bolufer - as proceeds from the cocktail went towards supporting music therapy.

We are incredibly grateful to producer Andy Wright and Lucy Morris, singer-songwriter Purdy and digital and press manager Sally Freeman, who went above and beyond to organise such a brilliant event to raise funds for Nordoff Robbins. Thanks also go to Bush Hall for hosting the festival, and to BIMM London, whose volunteers ensured that everything ran smoothly on the night.
