Rock Choir are huge supporters of ours, and keep raising the bar higher and higher for how far they'll go for us. Now they're taking this to its literal conclusion with an altitude-defying Three Peaks Challenge!

On the 8 and 9 July, four intrepid Rock Choir Leaders from the Northern region, will be taking on the challenge to climb the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, to raise money for music therapy.

"I've been shown several films that Nordoff Robbins are doing and I found that I couldn't watch any of them without welling up. They're such moving stories."
Alexander Armstrong

We were lucky enough to be visited by Nordoff Robbins ambassador Emeli Sandé, as well as television presenter and singer Alexander Armstrong.

We are excited to now announce the winners of the prestigious O2 Silver Clef Awards 2017. This year we are honouring an incredible line up of stars – Dame Shirley Bassey, Phil Collins, Blondie, Nile Rodgers, Emeli Sande, Mumford & Sons, Pete Tong and newcomer Anne-Marie – for their outstanding contribution to British music. Presenter Edith Bowman, will host the star-studded event on Friday 30 June, at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London.

Our music therapist David recently came to the end of his work with a beneficiary, who got in touch with him to say how much their time working on music had helped him. It was such a heart-felt note that we asked if we could share it, and he was more than happy with this.

Here David tells the story in his own words:

“How are you planning on getting up to Donnington this year?”

This question was asked five years ago when Iron Maiden Manager Rod Smallwood’s charity cycle ride became a major new challenge, as he and Alexander Milas discussed how they would reach Download Festival.

Rather than drive and get stuck in traffic, they decided to get on their bikes and do some good for three chosen charities - Nordoff Robbins, Childline and the Teenage Cancer Trust - coming together to raise money and improve the lives of children and young people.

Opening Our Doors to Our Supporters

Yesterday we invited some of our supporters to come and see our new home, and find out a bit more about the work we do. The sun was shining, the conversation flowing and the mood jubilant as people arrived ready to get their sneak peek at our new home.

It's always great to meet our supporters and see their enthusiasm in person. We had people of all ages represented and finding out a bit more about what we do, and why their support matters so much.
