Music Therapy Week – Community

Music Therapy Week – Community

Music has the power to form connections and bring us closer together. And social connection is so important to our health and wellbeing.

Are you part of a choir, band, or music group? Or maybe you go to a community centre or club with other music lovers. Why not celebrate your shared passion and organise a fun activity this Music Therapy Week?

There are so many ways to get involved this Music Therapy Week. You could…

Get your group together and plan a day of music! This could be karaoke, a live music performance or a group sing-a-long. Dress up like your favourite artists, or create a group playlist. Whatever you do, make it musical!

Use the quiz on our resources page, or come up with your own! Get your group together during Music Therapy Week and put your musical knowledge to the test.

Only 43% of the people we asked knew about music therapy. Help us spread the word so that more people know about music therapy and its incredible benefits.

Follow @nordoffrobbins on social media and share our posts. Or download your favourite image or infographic from our resources page and post on your channels.

Music therapy can transform health and wellbeing. It can help an autistic child find their voice through song or a grandparent living with dementia reconnect with loved ones. Each life-changing session with an expert therapist costs just £80.

If you’d like to turn your activity into a fundraiser and help reach more people with music therapy, download our Fundraising Guide.
