Nordoff Robbins Master of Music Therapy Graduates 2018 in gowns

Education and Training

Our commitment to education ensures that we are able to provide the best possible support for our beneficiaries by furthering knowledge in music therapy and by training the music therapists of tomorrow.

At Nordoff Robbins we offer three levels of training and education in music therapy.

Our short courses are a fantastic introduction to music therapy and the Nordoff Robbins approach. Most need no prior experience. Our internationally-renowned Master of Music Therapy programme is a two year course – successful completion of which gives graduates eligibility to apply to the Health and Care Professions Council for registration as a music therapist. In addition, our PhD programme is designed for experienced practitioners in either music therapy, or community music/ music and health who seek further professional development through research.

Attend one of our online open evenings

Our Master of Music Therapy open evenings are a chance to learn about the music-centred Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy and to find out in detail about our two-year full-time Master of Music Therapy (MMT) programme, which trains musicians to deliver this approach to music therapy.
