Adult Afternoon Group

Music making for adults with learning difficulties

If you have any queries, please get in touch with our team at [email protected]

Listen and be heard

This is an accessible group for adults with learning difficulties to come together to sing and play instruments in a fun, caring environment. The group’s members benefit from the uplifting power of social interaction and collective music making. They reap the rewards of both listening to others and being heard themselves. They’re also empowered to shape the group’s direction by making choices about the music they explore.

The Adult Afternoon Group meets every Wednesday at our North London music therapy centre. These free weekly sessions are open to anyone over the age of 18 with learning difficulties, and new members can sign up at any time.

In-person group

The in-person Adult Afternoon Group group meets at our North London music therapy centre every Wednesday from 2.30pm to 3.15pm.

Family and carers are welcome to come along for support.

Please note that new registrations for the group are temporarily paused.

Support us

We support some of the UK’s most isolated people, train the music therapists of tomorrow, and funds the research that makes our approach increasingly effective. We receive no government funding at all, so the transformative work we do is built upon the enterprise and generosity of groups, corporations and individuals like you.
