Personalised online tutoring

Accessible Music Learning is online tutoring for anyone who wants to learn musical skills but finds it hard to engage with traditional lessons. The one-to-one sessions are delivered by music therapists who are trained to tune into each person’s unique abilities, needs and responses. They can help pupils progress on the instrument of their choice or improve their singing.

Who is it for?

The service is suited to people with learning disabilities, mental health problems, neurological disabilities, dementia or challenging life circumstances. The main requirements are passion, enthusiasm and access to your chosen instrument. You also need to be able to concentrate for half an hour and understand our therapists’ instructions, even if your own speech is limited.

How does it work?

These one-to-one sessions last 30 minutes and are delivered online, through Zoom. The first four lessons are always free of charge. After that, a further block of four free sessions may be available, depending on your situation. Additional sessions can be bought for £15 each, but if there’s a financial barrier that would stop you taking part, we will be happy to discuss this.
