Who is the course for?
Professional music therapists, either based in the UK or international, who want to develop their understanding of our music-centred approach and see how its principles might inform their work. The sessions are designed to be open, engaging and highly interactive, so participants should be open to sharing recordings of their work and taking part in live music making activities.
We recognise that circumstances vary in different parts of the world, and many countries do not have formal training courses or registration schemes for music therapists. The summer school welcomes practitioners who are engaged in equivalent work to a music therapist but who have not had the opportunity to train formally.
Please read below this block to find out what the summer school includes, and what you should bring.
Applications are now closed for this year’s Summer School. Please check back soon for information about Summer School 2026!
