Where music and football meet
Since 1996, the worlds of football and music have come together at Legends of Football to honour the greatest names in the game. Over the years, the star-studded event has raised more than £8.5 million for our vital music therapy work.
This event has enjoyed over 20 years of celebrating the achievements and careers of some of the greatest footballers and managers in the beautiful game.

Sir Alex Ferguson (2005 legend)
Since the beginning, legends such as John Charles CBE, Sir Stanley Matthews CBE, Brian Clough OBE, Sir Bobby Robson CBE, Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, Kenny Dalglish MBE, Alan Shearer OBE, Ryan Giggs OBE, David Beckham OBE, Jose Mourinho, Pele and Eric Cantona, to name a few, have received this prestigious award.
Jill Scott MBE, England’s second most capped women’s player, and England legend Gary Lineker OBE were the latest stars to receive the award at the Legends of Football 2025 event. The evening also featured a world-class musical performance from British soul icon Heather Small.
