We’re delighted to offer weekly group and one-to-one music therapy sessions in your community, creating space for people to connect, express themselves and explore the benefits of making music together. Sessions will be led by a dedicated, Health Care and Professions Council-registered Nordoff and Robbins music therapist.

Music therapy client Tim has headphones on, as he professionally records both of his own songs at Shabbey Road Studio.

Music therapy is a regulated health profession that uses collaborative music-making in many formats (such as song-writing or improvisation) to support people’s emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs. Our therapists work with people of all ages and abilities, including autistic children and adults, people with learning disabilities, people living with dementia, neurological conditions, mental health challenges, trauma or social isolation.

Our sessions help people:

  • Connect and build relationships
  • Reduce stress and improve wellbeing
  • Grow confidence and self-esteem
  • Communicate and express themselves
  • Stay focused and motivated

This service is for people who are aged 18 or over, who have mild to moderate mental health needs. Unfortunately we’re unable to support people in acute crisis.

Please note that the form below should only be filled in by healthcare professionals with an existing professional relationship with the person you’re referring, e.g. you’re their Social Prescribing Link Worker.

Individual and group sessions will run on Mondays at START Inspiring Minds, Salford M6 5BZ.
