Throughout the year we run a number of short courses which are open to those who want to learn a bit more about us. Some are designed for anyone interested in music therapy regardless of their experience, others are for trained music therapists who want to learn a bit more about the specific way we do things at Nordoff Robbins. What is Music Therapy? – a brief introduction to the Nordoff Robbins approach

This brief introduction to the ideas and practice of Nordoff Robbins music therapy will be presented by experienced music therapists. It will include information, examples of music therapy in action and practical activities. The course is open to anyone interested in music therapy, no previous experience is necessary.

Nordoff Robbins Summer School 2017

Join us for four full days of workshops and seminars for professional music therapists who wish to become familiar with the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy and integrate this into their work. 

Dates: Mon 24 July - Thurs 28 July 2017
Location: Nordoff Robbins London Centre, 2 Lissenden Gardens, London NW5 1PQ

How Music Can Help – an extended introduction to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy - SIX week evening course in Manchester

The course will be run by experienced Nordoff Robbins music therapists. It will include information about music therapy and the Nordoff Robbins approach, examples of music therapy in action, and practical music making. The course is open to anyone interested in music therapy, catering equally for people with no previous knowledge and for those with experience in related fields.

Dates: 7.00pm – 9.00pm Monday evenings 12 June to 17 July inclusive
Location: St. Matthew’s Hall, Stretford, Manchester M32 9AJ
Cost: £165 (concession for full time students and unwaged £90)

Master of Music Therapy (Nordoff Robbins) Music, Health Society - open evening - Dates TBC

Free to attend

The Open evening aims to:

  • Introduce you to the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy
  • Show how this training programme uniquely equips its students for the contemporary workplace
  • Explain the structure of the training programme
