Throughout the year we run a number of short courses open to those who want to learn more about us. Some are open to everyone interested in music therapy regardless of experience, while others are specifically for trained music therapists who want to learn more about the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy. 'open evening - Master of Music Therapy: Music, Health, Society' - 20 november 2017

Taking place on 20 November from 6.30 - 8pm at Nordoff Robbins London Centre, 2 Lissenden Gardens, London NW5 1PQ, the open evening is free to attend, and will:

  • Introduce you to the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy
  • Show how this training programme uniquely equips its students for the contemporary workplace
  • Explain the structure of the training programme

'How Music Can Help – an extended introduction to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy' - SIX week evening course in London

The course will be run by experienced Nordoff Robbins music therapists. It will include information about music therapy and the Nordoff Robbins approach, examples of music therapy in action, and practical music making. The course is open to anyone interested in music therapy, catering equally for people with no previous knowledge and for those with experience in related fields.

Dates: 6.30pm – 8.30pm on Thursday evenings, 5 October to 16 November inclusive (no session Thursday 26 October)
Location: Nordoff Robbins London Centre, 2 Lissenden Gardens, London NW5 1PQ
Cost: £165 (concession for full time students and unwaged £90)

'How Music Can Help – an extended introduction to Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy' - SIX week evening course in Newcastle

The course will be run by experienced Nordoff Robbins music therapists. It will include information about music therapy and the Nordoff Robbins approach, examples of music therapy in action, and practical music making. The course is open to anyone interested in music therapy, catering equally for people with no previous knowledge and for those with experience in related fields.

Dates: 6.00pm – 8.00pm on Thursday evenings, 2 November to 14 December inclusive (no session Thursday 7 December)
Location: Westgate Community College, West Road, Newcastle upon Tyne, NE4 9LU
Cost: £165 (concession for full time students and unwaged £90)

We are grateful to Music Partnership North (MPN) for supporting us to establish our first short course in the North East. Music Partnership North is the Music Education Hub for Newcastle and Northumberland.

'What is Music Therapy? – a brief introduction to the Nordoff Robbins approach' - single evening session in Croydon

This course, presented by experienced music therapists, gives an introduction to the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy. It will include information about music therapy and the Nordoff Robbins approach and examples of music therapy in action. The course is open to anyone interested in music therapy, catering for people with no previous knowledge and also for those with experience in related fields. 

Date: 6.30 - 8.30pm Thursday 7 December
Location: Nordoff Robbins Andrew Lloyd Webber Unit, Croydon
Cost: £45 (concession for full time students or unwaged £25)

Nordoff Robbins Summer School 2018

Four full days of workshops and seminars for professional music therapists who wish to become familiar with the Nordoff Robbins approach to music therapy and integrate this into their work.

Dates: (provisional) Mon 23rd July - Thurs 27th July 2018
