Wargrave House School and College
At Wargrave House School and College provides support to people with autism aged from five to 25 years old. Therapy is provided by SunDIAL, with a multi-professional team of therapists. The team includes occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, an emotional literacy support assistant, a therapy dog as well as contracted rebound therapy.
Since 2020, we have worked with SunDIAL to provide music therapy to students at Wargrave House School and College. This provides students with a space for both enjoyment and emotional expression.
Our clients are able to build rapport with the music therapists and benefit considerably from music therapy.
One of our clients is an adult with learning difficulties and autism. They have demonstrated noticeable engagement during one-to-one music therapy sessions.
The staff at Wargrave House School and College speak of the many positive outcomes of music therapy that they have seen first-hand. This includes reducing anxiety and increasing communication, attention and emotional expression.
