Harvey is autistic, and has ADHD and sensory issues. He began attending music therapy at age 10, and, aged 22, continues to attend sessions. He attended music therapy , in one of our centres, and at his school.

For Harvey, learning is often structured with rules. However, his Mum Jo described that music is without these barriers.

As he arrives at music therapy sessions, Harvey is happy as he jumps out of the car.
During music therapy, he is able to be himself and take the lead. Music, Jo explains, allows Harvey to connect with someone rather than being told what to do.

Harvey’s mum, Jo, and family shared their story at the O2 Silver Clef Awards 2023, for which we are very thankful. The money we raise through your support, ensures that we can continue to help give people like Harvey a voice, through music.
